Women Mean Business

We have been shortlisted to pitch our cross platform documentary at this years DocFest. Our story aims to reveal how women in the developing world have embraced their lives and become self-sufficient fighting against, in some cases, a male dominated legal system. The documentary will take a small step in helping to break the preconceptions in the UK about women in the developing world.

We see this as an intriguing yet eye opening project and will be pitching our idea to a Media industry panel on the 14th of June so… wish us luck!

WorldView/Community Channel is offering a chance for documentary film makers to pitch their ideas in the hope of receiving a grant of up to £10,000 to further develop their project. The concept for the documentary has to be based on positive stories about women in the ‘developing world’.

The funding comes from CBA ‘WorldView who are about improving the UK's public understanding and awareness of the developing world via the mainstream broadcast and digital media’ and they will show the chosen piece on the Community Channel that has an average rate of 700,000 viewers per month.
