We recently worked with the Buckingham Group and their client online retailer Amazon to create training films for their new staff at the brand new iPort development just outside of Sheffield. Our teams have worked at iPort before in documenting the development of the site which is one of the largest warehouse facilities in the country and we hope will prove a great hub for distribution and an asset for the area.
As this is a new development there is a lot of brand new systems which require training, the suite of films we captured will be used to train staff at this new development and covered areas such as security, heating and lighting. Although we are great at making films we don’t necessarily know how to work an engine or particular system. To help with this the team worked with SMEs or subject matter experts to ensure that the information that was presented was totally accurate, this is a practice we regularly use when the subject matter needs to be delivered accurately. We used our Sony FS7 for this shoot which allowed us to record in such a way that these films will correctly document the processes and procedures for operating and maintaining the sophisticated equipment present at this site. Once our team had filmed on site and edited these films down, we were able to provide a quality suite of films that Amazon will use to keep their staff trained for the years to come. In total we produced over 10 separate films for the different areas of this enormous facility.
We will continue to support the development of the iPort where we can and look forward to seeing it fully operational.
