Climate Action Plan & Sustainability Policy

oXyFire Media Creative Ltd

Our Commitment

oXyFire Media Creative Ltd is committed to reducing the environmental impact of our operations and productions, with a clear target of achieving Net Zero carbon emissions by 2028.

Sustainability is not treated as an add-on. It is embedded into how we design, plan and deliver every project, from initial concept through to final broadcast.

Our Approach

Our approach is grounded in practical action and informed by real-world delivery. We focus on three core principles:

1. Reduction at Source

We prioritise reducing emissions before considering offsetting.

This includes:

• Designing productions around remote and IP-based workflows, reducing the need for travel and on-site infrastructure

• Minimising transport through local crew sourcing and decentralised production models

• Selecting energy-efficient equipment and low-impact technical solutions

Our work on large-scale, multi-platform productions such as GALWAD demonstrated how remote production and distributed teams can significantly reduce travel and associated emissions while maintaining broadcast quality.

2. Circular Production Practices

We actively reduce waste and extend the lifecycle of materials and equipment.

This includes:

• Reusing equipment across multiple productions

• Hiring and sharing resources where appropriate

• Designing workflows that minimise single-use materials

Through our involvement in GALWAD, we contributed to a production approach where the vast majority of materials were reused or repurposed, demonstrating that high-end broadcast and sustainability can work hand in hand.

3. Local Impact and Carbon Mitigation

Where emissions cannot be eliminated, we prioritise meaningful mitigation.

Our approach includes:

• Supporting tree planting and local environmental initiatives

• Investing in projects that deliver long-term environmental benefit within our communities

• Focusing on insetting, ensuring impact is local and measurable rather than relying solely on global offset schemes

We have contributed to sustainability initiatives that delivered measurable carbon savings and long-term environmental benefits as part of wider production ecosystems.

Key Areas of Action

Energy & Power

• Reducing reliance on diesel generators

• Prioritising battery-first and hybrid power solutions where feasible

• Supporting the use of lower-emission fuels such as HVO

• Implementing strict power management across all productions

Travel & Logistics

• Remote production and cloud-based workflows as standard practice

• Reduced crew travel through distributed production models

• Efficient logistics planning to minimise transport impact

Production Design & Materials

• Reuse and repurposing of materials wherever possible

• Avoidance of unnecessary single-use production elements

• Collaboration with partners who share sustainable practices

Suppliers & Partners

We work with a trusted network of suppliers and freelancers and expect alignment with our sustainability principles.

We actively:

• Encourage responsible sourcing

• Promote environmentally conscious working practices

• Collaborate with partners to reduce overall production impact

Measurement & Continuous Improvement

We recognise the importance of accountability and continuous improvement.

We are committed to:

• Measuring environmental impact across productions

• Aligning with industry frameworks such as Albert and carbon tracking tools where appropriate

• Reviewing and improving our processes on an ongoing basis

Our experience working within sustainability-led productions has informed our approach and continues to shape how we evolve.

Governance

Sustainability is embedded across the organisation:

• Considered at the planning stage of every project

• Integrated into production workflows and decision-making

• Supported by internal policies and supplier expectations

Responsibility for sustainability sits across all roles within the business, ensuring it is actively delivered rather than passively stated.

Our Net Zero Target

oXyFire Media Creative Ltd is committed to achieving:

• Net Zero emissions by 2028

• Continuous year-on-year reduction in operational and production emissions

• Increased investment in local environmental initiatives

Our Perspective

Live production and broadcast will always carry an environmental impact. Our responsibility is to minimise that impact through smarter design, better technology, and more conscious decision-making.

Our experience on complex, high-profile productions has shown that sustainability and technical excellence are not competing priorities, they are part of the same solution.
