Silentnight Sleep Your Way: Motion control TV Commercial

Silentnight television commercial production using a motion controlled camera rig and ARRI Alexa for the Sleep Your Way creative.

The Challenge

A precise camera treatment for Sleep Your Way

We were producing the Sleep Your Way television commercial for Silentnight, with the mattress product and campaign message carried through a controlled visual treatment.

We used a motion controlled camera rig with an ARRI Alexa.

The Solution

A repeatable move captured on an ARRI Alexa

We used motion control to create a programmed, repeatable camera path and paired the rig with an ARRI Alexa for image capture.

The completed advert frames show the bedroom setting, Silentnight mattress product and Sleep Your Way message.

Silentnight Sleep Your Way television commercial

We produced the Sleep Your Way television commercial for Silentnight. We built the commercial around a motion controlled camera rig and an ARRI Alexa.

The combination gave the production a precise camera system and a cinema camera suited to the finished commercial imagery. These confirmed details define the core of the case.

A programmed camera path

A motion control rig moves a camera along a programmed, repeatable path. It gives a production control over the position and timing of a shot and allows the movement to be reproduced accurately.

For Sleep Your Way, we used motion control to create the commercial’s precise, repeatable camera movement. The camera move could be planned as part of the visual treatment and executed with a consistent path. This created a defined relationship between the movement of the camera and the composition of the bedroom scene.

ARRI Alexa image capture

We paired the motion control setup with an ARRI Alexa. This adds a clear production detail to the technical story.

The Alexa captured the commercial imagery while the rig governed the planned movement. Together, the camera and motion control rig delivered the planned commercial movement.

A calm bedroom setting

The finished advert shows a bedroom, the Silentnight mattress product and the Sleep Your Way campaign message. Its soft palette and composed setting give the commercial a calm visual tone.

The mattress remains visually central and the final branding is easy to read. This finished image connects the documented camera setup with the delivered advert. It provides a direct project visual for the featured image, archive card and supporting gallery.

Precision serving the visual treatment

The production’s most distinctive confirmed choice is the relationship between motion control and the Alexa. One established the repeatable movement and the other recorded the commercial image.

That pairing gave us a controlled technical foundation for the Sleep Your Way creative. The planned move could remain consistent with the composition and pacing of the finished bedroom sequence. It demonstrates how a specialist camera method can be chosen to support the look and movement required by a television advert.

Commercial production with a defined technical idea

Sleep Your Way is a concise example of television commercial production built around a specific camera approach. The motion control rig and ARRI Alexa gave us precise control over how the image was created.

The finished commercial delivered Silentnight’s product and campaign message through a polished, carefully controlled visual treatment. Its professional proof lies in the named commercial, the documented method and the finished frames that remain connected with our work.
