Keeping a multi-artist live show visually coherent
Eliot Kennedy’s 50th birthday concert brought a changing line-up of live performances, supplied films and on-screen identities to Sheffield City Hall. The event raised funds for Challenge Derbyshire, with artists including Gary Barlow and Alfie Boe appearing during the night.
The room’s screens needed to follow that running order in real time. Camera coverage, VT and graphics all had to move with the programme, while the visual team checked incoming assets and prepared each cue before the doors opened.
One onsite team for cameras, VT, graphics and recording
Limelight Presentation Systems commissioned us to supply the full onsite IMAG production. We ran the live cameras and venue-screen feeds, managed VT playout, and designed, built and played out the show graphics.
The graphics workflow included dynamic on-screen name templates and animated visual elements prepared around the playlist script. we also recorded the programme, prepared a clean feed and projection-screen feed for the edit, and delivered a 25 GB show file after the event.

A Sheffield birthday concert with a fundraising purpose
On 29 March 2019, Eliot Kennedy’s 50th birthday concert brought a multi artist live show to Sheffield City Hall. The line up included Gary Barlow and Alfie Boe, with a changing programme of performances, films and on screen identities throughout the night.
The event also raised funds for Challenge Derbyshire. That fundraising purpose gave the production a clear public focus, while the number of artists and visual cues created a detailed live running order for the technical teams behind the show.
Live cameras and IMAG for the room
Limelight Presentation Systems commissioned us to supply the full onsite IMAG production. IMAG is the live camera output shown on the venue screens, giving people across a large room a close view of the performance as it happens.
We ran the live cameras and screen feeds as one coordinated live event video production. The camera and playback workflow ran through the show together, keeping artist coverage, VT and titles aligned with the running order.
Graphics and VT built around the running order
The visual package combined the camera feeds with custom graphics and VT. We designed and built the show graphics, prepared dynamic on screen name templates and animated elements, and operated them live. A template could appear for the length required by each introduction, giving the operator control as the programme moved between artists.
The team also organised supplied film material into the playlist script for VT playout. Before the show, we audited every video asset against the running order, identified missing clips and graphics and kept the visual workflow aligned with sound and staging.
A recorded programme for use after the night
We recorded the programme alongside the live IMAG operation. After the event, we prepared both a clean feed and a projection screen feed, giving the edit access to the uncluttered camera output and the visuals seen in the room.
The completed show delivery was 25 GB. This recording workflow added a usable post event programme to the live screen package and demonstrates how the same video production system could support the event in the room and preserve it afterwards.

Eliot’s post show messages described the work as amazing and confirmed receipt of the completed programme. He later left a public five star review covering this concert and an earlier oXyFire project.
