Preserving a personal account
Frank Stone shared his experiences of wartime captivity at Stalag Luft III, the camp associated with The Great Escape.
Recording his account would make his testimony available to people beyond those able to attend a talk in person.
Filming the speaker and the person
Jay Rozanski filmed one of Frank’s public talks and also recorded him at home. These settings captured his account in front of an audience and in a more personal environment.
The recordings contributed to an 87 minute DVD, preserving Frank’s own voice and presence on camera.
Oral history filming and personal testimony
Interview filming can carry an individual’s experience beyond the original conversation. Our video production work includes recorded interviews and personal accounts.
The Pathways film series uses a different form of testimony, with contributors discussing their own educational experiences.
