Intelex Customer Stories: Corporate Video Production
oXyFire produced two Intelex customer films for Forterra and Cory, combining interviews, industrial B roll, editing, graphics and animation.
Turning specialist software into credible customer stories
Intelex needed customer films that could connect environmental, health, safety and quality software with its practical value inside two very different organisations. The story had to come from the customers’ own experience and remain useful to a specialist business audience.
Forterra’s mobile safety work was spread across a manufacturing network, while Cory’s story sat inside an active riverside waste operation. The production needed clear interviews, relevant workplace images and a visual way to explain web and mobile features.
Two complete productions with one consistent approach
We planned and filmed a dedicated location day for each customer, then shaped the interviews and B roll through editing, graphics, animation, licensed music, colour finishing and client review. The Forterra film was shot in Northampton in November 2022; the Cory film followed at Cringle Dock in March 2023.
Both finished films are publicly available through Intelex, with a combined runtime of approximately 478 seconds. Intelex commissioned Cory after the success of Forterra and later described the second film as fantastic, saying it showcased both organisations brilliantly.
In numbers
Two customer stories grounded in real operations
Intelex commissioned us to turn the experience of two UK customers into useful corporate films. The first followed building products manufacturer Forterra; the second visited Cory, whose river based waste and energy infrastructure serves London. Each story needed to connect a software platform with the people, places and working practices it supports.
The productions were separate commissions with their own locations and schedules. Forterra was filmed in Northampton on 15 November 2022. Cory was filmed at Cringle Dock in London on 29 March 2023. Treating them as two distinct customer stories gave each organisation room to explain its own priorities while building a consistent body of work for Intelex.
Forterra: making mobile safety reporting visible
Intelex’s Forterra customer story explains how the manufacturer introduced a unified platform for safety, audits and actions across 20 geographically dispersed sites. Mobile access was central to the story because it brought reporting within reach of site teams, drivers and other frontline users.
Our production brief set a concise customer led format, with interview material supported by working location footage. The Northampton day allowed time for the interview, relevant B roll and coverage of the environment in which the system was used. Editing and animation then helped the audience understand web and mobile features that were difficult to demonstrate through a conventional workplace shot alone.
The completed Forterra film runs for 203 seconds and is available through Our public video channel and Intelex’s own customer story page. Intelex later described the film as a success when commissioning the second production.
Cory: a customer film shaped by the Thames
The Cory commission took the team into an active waste transfer site beside the river. Intelex wanted the same end to end filming and editing service used for Forterra, with a film that could explain the customer’s experience through interviews and operational images. Director of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Mark Greenwood and Data Performance Analyst Dan Thorp were scheduled as the two principal interview contributors.
Jay Rozanski produced the shoot, Gareth Fearn operated the camera and Phoebe Lomas managed the production. The schedule moved from interview coverage into general views of the site, its machinery and its relationship with the Thames. PPE, site access and a compact crew helped the team work safely around Cory’s live operation while capturing the scale and movement that gave the story its visual character.
Intelex reports that Cory doubled safety observations within six months and reduced data performance analysis from seven days to 30 minutes. Those are Cory and Intelex outcomes, and they supplied the factual substance that the customer film needed to communicate. The approved public film runs for 275 seconds and can be watched on Intelex’s video platform.
A joined up route from preparation to delivery
Both films began with customer information, interview planning and a schedule built around a single location day. That groundwork let the production team arrive with the business story understood, concentrate interview time on useful first hand answers and identify B roll that could carry the edit beyond a talking head format.
The post production combined interview structure, location sound, licensed music, colour finishing, motion graphics and screen focused animation. The Forterra brief planned a YouTube ready high definition master and a managed review process. For Cory, the first pass was shared through Frame.io, where Intelex could place comments against exact moments before the final version was delivered in May 2023.
Cory’s planned three minute duration grew as the edit developed. Intelex approved the longer cut because the client felt the content and narrative remained strong. That decision preserved the two contributors’ explanations and the operational footage needed to make the riverside story coherent.
A first film that led directly to the next
The clearest measure of the Forterra production’s reception came from the commissioning client. In January 2023, Intelex returned to us for the Cory film and explained that the request followed the success of the Forterra customer story. The second brief called for the same filming and editing service, giving the relationship a direct continuation.
After the Cory review, Intelex told the team that the video was fantastic and that it showcased Cory and Intelex brilliantly. A longer testimonial preserved on our original project page described working with the team as seamless from start to finish and recommended us for video production and editing.
Together, the two films show how corporate video production can make specialist business software more tangible. Customer voices establish credibility, workplace footage supplies context and carefully placed animation reveals the product experience. The result is a pair of related films with 478 seconds of approved public content across manufacturing and environmental infrastructure.
