Working with Lion Eyes, oXyFire supported one New Order MIF17 show with a BBC satellite link and dual Facebook streams from Old Granada Studios.
Connecting one MIF17 show with BBC and social audiences
New Order + Liam Gillick: So it goes.. was a series of performances on Stage 1 at Old Granada Studios, created for MIF17 with visual artist Liam Gillick and composer arranger Joe Duddell. A 12 person synthesiser ensemble from the Royal Northern College of Music joined New Order inside Gillick’s responsive stage environment.
Our brief covered the broadcast of one show within that wider run. The workflow needed to carry the performance to the BBC by satellite and supply live outputs to both the Manchester International Festival and New Order Facebook pages.
BBC satellite delivery and two Facebook outputs
Lion Eyes produced the show. We supplied the BBC satellite link from Old Granada Studios, carrying the finished programme into its broadcast route.
We also supplied live outputs to the MIF and New Order Facebook pages. Together, the satellite and online delivery connected the selected performance with its broadcast and social audiences.
